Pet Gifts

You just got invited to a birthday party, great. But wait a minute, it's for your friends' dog Fido!

You met Tammy; and her lab mix, Fido at the dog park last month. The two of you have become great friends and meet at the dog park once or twice a week. Enjoying each other's company while Fido and your golden retriever Tinkerbelle run and play.

But a birthday party? Sure, our pets have become part of the family and we often treat them like our children. 80% of pet owners buy gifts for their pets. Whereas a birthday party for Fido sounds like an interesting time with Tammy and a chance to meet new friends with similar interests as yours. The old question arises, what to receive as a gift.

The first thing we should worry about is that we give safe gifts for pets. For dogs and cats, anything that can be eaten or played would make a great gift. Just remember to make sure the food is healthy and safe. Also, pet toys must be designed for pets.

Another idea for safe pet gifts is to make a special gift. These treats can be made quickly and easily in the kitchen. In sufficient quantities, to give to other pet gifts at the party and recipes can be given to the pet owner.

A third idea for safe pet gifts is to give the pet owner a treat at the party. There are many items that can be purchased for the devoted pet owner, such as monogrammed feeders and waterers, or pet beds.
