Tips on how to make sure your wedding photographer is a professional

Wedding photography is an exciting field where many photography hobbyists are looking to earn some extra money by providing cheap wedding photography.

After paying hundreds just for the dress, no matter the church, the flowers, the reception, and all the food and drink. It is very tempting to hire a cheap wedding photographer; after all, photography is probably the last thing you want to think about.

Choosing your wedding photographer is the most important thing when planning your wedding. In fact, it should be the first thing you do.

Top-notch wedding photographers book months in advance, so don't put it off until the last minute to book. However, with that being said, there might be some unbooked dates, so give them a call and see if your appointment is free.

Obviously, everyone wants the dress to be beautiful, the flowers dazzling, the food delicious, and the reception charming. The wedding photographer, however, should be one of the first things on your list of essentials.

If you choose a poor quality wedding photographer, you will feel in every photograph you look at.

Nothing is more meaningful than your wedding photography. Why that? Well think about it: what happens when your wedding ends? The flowers are dead, the dress is freeze-dried (or whatever the cleaners do) and put in a box, eat the cake, and a year after your miami wedding photographer you won't even remember what you ate. All that you will have left of this day are your memories, and your photos are the gateway to those memories.

Up to the tips:

1. Does the photographer have many different photographs of the same wedding to show you?

I'd worry if they were all from the same wedding. The right professional photographers have taken wedding photography for many different brides and that should be reflected in their work.

On the other hand, if you only see one photograph of each wedding, I suspect that the photographer only gets one good photo of the whole day.

You should know that they are consistent and that they have taken pictures at many different weddings with at least three different images from each wedding in their gallery or book.

As an average guide, photographs of three recent weddings are appropriate.

2. Does the photographer listen to you?

A photographer who talks all the time about how cool they are is someone you need to be careful with. If a professional is not prepared to listen to you, then they are not very professional, I mean, how do they know what you are looking for?

3. Do you really like this person?

You will spend the most important day of your life with a stranger, make sure you like him. If the photographer's personality clashes with yours, you could have an unhappy day, or at least an awkward one.

Why risk being unhappy on the most important day of your life? That is why reading the personality of the photographer is, in my opinion, more important than analyzing his portfolio. Will they be unofficial? Offensive? From distance? When you talk to a potential photographer, become familiar with them and see if they are someone you would like to be friends with.

If the answer is "yes", put them high on your list!
