Personal Finance Blogs

More personal finance blogs appear every day. Some discuss how they are going to earn their first million dollars, others discuss how to be frugal and save money, while others are more focused on paying off debt. It's great to see so much interest in personal finance, and it's great to be able to be an observer and see step-by-step how people take control of their financial situation.

One thing to keep in mind when reading personal finance blogs is that they are often not written by professionals in the field. In my opinion, this has some strengths, as they are real accounts of strategies, products and systems that really work for the author and their readers. But that also means that it is even more important that you do your due diligence before acting on the information provided on these sites, as it should be considered as opinion rather than professional advice.

That is not to say that there is not very valuable information to be found on the pages of these personal finance blogs. Many have been featured on Money Magazine's top personal finance websites and the New York Times and the like so they have a credibility rating. Second, authors tend to do their best to post accurate information in order to maintain their credibility level and attract more readers.

The actual gold, however, is often found in the comment section after each article found in the archives. Since most of these blogs allow anyone to leave a comment, it's not unusual to see people with opposing views debate a topic, which is great for readers. This is where you will often find certified professionals who weigh in, discuss points, or include some additional background to help you get the most out of your financial situation. These comments allow you to see things from all angles so that you can make the best decision based on the information available.

You probably don't want to let these personal Faith Blog replace professional advice, but rather guide you to a starting point and provide you with a general overview. Everyone's situation is slightly different, and what may work for one person may not work for everyone. However, the same fundamental concepts generally apply when working to pay off debt, manage money, or build wealth, so they are a great starting point.

Beyond that, you will often find honest reviews of personal finance software, documents to help you stay organized, and general stories to help you stay motivated and inspired to achieve your goals.

With all the personal finance bloggers out there, there is a wealth of information at your fingertips that can really make you rich. Find the ones that most identify you and add them to your RSS feed. That way, you can easily read the new content on each site in one place, making it easy to read all the new material.
